SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER, PROJECT MANAGER

Are you a talented, ambitious, smart, entrepreneurial, engaging individual with 7+ years experience in a building structural design firm and looking to be a part of a leadership- team?

OUR DESIRED CANDIDATE:

• Has a BSCE+ and is licensed as a Structural Engineer
• Currently lives within commuting distance of Newton
• Demonstrates excellent technical knowledge
• Has strong project management skills
• Is a quick, intuitive thinker and learner
• Is functional in REVIT and AutoCAD
• Is organized and proactive
• Works well with others and independently
• Shows strong writing and excellent phone skills
• Self-identifies as a mentor to younger staff

Your responsibilities will consist of all aspects of project work, including:

• Performing structural analysis and design
• Producing REVIT models and AutoCAD drawings
• Participating in site inspections and investigations
• Supervising and mentoring younger staff
• Helping to develop and monitor project schedules and budgets
• Engaging directly with clients through all project phases

You will work on both new construction and renovations, and will generally manage the day-to-day of your own projects individually and/or as a team leader.

JUNIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Are you a talented engineer with 2+ years experience in a building structural design firm?

• Is functional in Revit and AutoCAD;

• Has an engaging manner with colleagues and clients;

Your work will include performing structural analysis and design, producing REVIT models and AutoCAD drawings, participating in site inspections and investigations, and engaging directly with clients. You will be exposed to new construction and renovation projects. Depending upon your skill level and ability, you will manage many of your own projects or work with senior engineers/mentors. Must be in commuting distance of our offices in Newton.

STRUCTURAL DRAFTER/MODELER
We are seeking an extremely proficient AutoCAD drafter and/or Revit modeler with significant experience creating building structural plans and sections.
Short-term or long-term, depending upon fit with our firm and our project types. Position available immediately.

OUR DESIRED CANDIDATE:

• Works closely with project team to obtain project information and develop accurate structural construction documents from design and details information produced from our team of engineers;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate with our clients from design through construction administration;
• Create REVIT models from architects design plans and details;
• Ensure construction documents are accurately modeled;
• Follow BIM content standards and development procedures;
• Balance multiple deadlines and changing priorities;
• Ability to spot potential issues and solve with the design team;
• Ability to validate changes graphically to determine workability of design elements;
• Attention to detail;

More about our environment:
We are in a bright, comfortable office, in Newton, Massachusetts, near the T, bus lines, the Mass Pike and Route 128. There are great lunch options nearby and ample onsite free parking. We worked completely remote until recently, and are slowly and cautiously increasing our in person work numbers.
